Up until yesterday, when it ruined my life and decided to snow, it felt a whole lot like Spring. I’m choosing to ignore it and hope it melts, sooner than later. Spring is my favorite season to decorate for! Everything is so bright and fresh. My entryway was in need of some fun new Spring decor so I made this cute little DIY picket fence. It was super easy and since I already had all the supplies and the paint stirring sticks were free, it was cheap, too!
Here’s what you’ll need…
Paint, wood glue, sandpaper and paint stirring sticks. I got my stirring sticks from Ace Hardware, but you can get them anywhere they sell paint. I used 7.
First, I cut the sticks. I used a jigsaw to cut one end of 5 of the sticks into a point for the top of the fence. The other 2 sticks go across the front of the fence so I just had to cut them the right length.
Next, I painted them and sanded the edges to give it a little bit of a distressed look.
Then, I glued it all together.
That’s it!
Fast, easy, and cheap…exactly how I like all my crafts.
